ST. XAVIER’S BIDS FAREWELL TO CLASS X AND XII STUDENTS

St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School Pathaliaghat hosted a grand farewell programme for the outgoing students of Class X and XII of 2023-24 on 15th  February  2024. The students of class IX and XI together with Principal organized the ceremony in unison, to bid a lively and joyful farewell to their seniors.  The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome and escort accorded to the out-going students by the entire school community. Thereafter, Sr. Monica Sangma invoked the blessings and graces upon our students through a short and meaningful prayer which was followed by a welcome address by Fr. Babu Stephen SDB, the principal of the school, who has always generously imparted his wisdom to the pupils and guided them towards the right path. He expressed his desire to see all the students at the great height of success and commended the seniors for smoothly taking on responsibilities and setting a remarkable example for their juniors despite the situation around them. Fr. Blasius the Rector also addressed the students.  He gave them helpful advice on how to juggle the expectation of their family and society with their own aspirations and concluded by wishing them happiness and success in all future endeavours and inspired them to leave an indelible mark on society and make the school proud.

Students of Classes 5 - 11 performed various vibrant and colourful dances to make the occasion more fitting and memorable for the outgoing students of class X and XII.   The program proceeded with memento presentation by Rector Fr. Blasius and Principal, Fr. Babu with the hope that they fair well in life. The pick of the day was a thought-provoking maim by hostel boys,  dynamic dance performance by class IX, VIII, VII, XI enthralling the gathering. The girl’s squad led the pack of South Indian dances giving a fast beat to the whole show. There was a couple dance, Manipuri dance, Kokborok dance, solo by Rubel Debbarma and Riya Rebbarma and laughter as the hosts impressed with the showcasing of their vast repository of skills. The students, teachers and the school management bid their beloved students a warm goodbye and wished them good luck for their future and expressed their joy at having spent a wonderful time with all. When you reach the zenith of your career, we hope you will never forget your roots, family, and extended family- your school!  The outgoing students of class X and XII presented their gifts as a token of their gratitude to the school.  The programme ended with tea party for all the out-going students and staff.  May God bless you with prosperity, health, love, and strength.
