STAFF V/S STUDENTS MATCH
A Friendly Football Match at St. Xavier's School, Pathaliaghat.
In a move to foster family spirit and to keep the Salesian spirit alive, a friendly Football Match between Staff and Students was organized on 24th February 2024 at St. Xavier's Hr. Sec. School Pathaliaghat ground. The whole school community along with the parents of the lower primary students witnessed this spectacular match. Mr. Sailen Debbarma and Master Sumai Jamatia of class XI led the Staff and Student teams respectively. The staff team wore a very attractive White and Blue Jersey whereas the student team came to the ground in their best Black and Red Jersey.
The match between the staff and students kicked off at 10:30am amidst a loud round of applause from the audience and the match lasted for 90 minutes with a short break of 10 minutes in between the match. A well qualified and experienced referee Mr. Sailen Debbarma assisted the match along with two other side referees.
At the end of the match, the student team triumphed with a convincing score of four goals against the staff team who managed to put in just two goals. It was indeed a lovely and fantastic match where all the students were thrilled to see their teachers playing with so much of energy and guesto. The staff team looked very strong and firm and yet they couldn't convert many opportunities into goals. It was a very exciting and thrilling match between the staff and students. This friendly Football match was organized in order to relax the minds of the students and staff before the school goes for the promotion in the first week of March. All felt happy about the match and expressed their gratitude to the school for providing such a wonderful opportunities in the school for the overall development of the students.
