INTER HOUSE SOLO DANCE COMPETITION

St. Xavier's school's talented dancers took center stage at the Inter House Solo Dance Competition for Boys and Girls held on 13th July 2024, showcasing their skills and passion for dance. The event was organized  precisely to encourage individual expression and artistic growth among students. A total of 82  talented students from four different houses, Bosco, Gandhi, Nehru and Teresa, performed solo dances in various styles, including ballet, contemporary, hip-hop, classical, traditional and more. A panel of three judges, Ms. Teresa , Ms. Ganga and Ms. Sandhya Rani comprising of dance experts and teachers, evaluated the performances based on Costumes, creativity,  Synchronisation and overall impact and facial expression.  The audience was wowed by the dancers' energy, grace, and dedication to their craft

Special awards were given for "Best costumes," "Most Creative steps," and "Audience Favorite." The parents and teachers were amazed by the talent and confidence of our student dancers. They truly set the stage on fire with their colourful and vibrant dances. Principal, Fr. Babu Stephen SDB while addressing the audience said that "the solo dance competition was an incredible experience. I'm so proud of all the participants!" The Solo Dance Competition was a resounding success, highlighting the school's vibrant dance community and the students' passion for the arts. At the end of the competition, the winners were declared by Fr. Babu Stephen.In the girl's category, Ms. Rashmi Debbarma from Bosco House with 120 points took everyone by surprise by winning the coveted First Prize. The second and third prizes were taken by Ms.Delisha Jamatia  and Ms. Sonali Tripura of Nehru House with 116 and 115 points respectively. Under Boy's category, Master Jonas Kaipeng from Bosco House and Master Sourav Debbarma of Nehru House grabbed the First Prizes by scoring 106 points each. The second prize was taken by Master Nikhil Jamatia of Gandi house with 104 points while the third prize was taken by Master Jhony Debbarma of Gandhi House with 103 points. We look forward to many more outstanding performances in the future. Fr. Babu thanked all the participants and the House captains and congratulated the winners of the competition.
