SCHOOL PICNIC CUM CHILDRENS DAY
On the occasion of Children’s Day, St. Xavier’s School Pathalighat hosted a lively celebration filled with activities, food, and community spirit. The event included cooking sessions, a picnic, cultural performances, and games, creating a memorable day for students, teachers, and staff alike.
A central feature of the day was the cooking activity. Different classes prepared a variety of dishes, transforming the campus into a lively cooking zone. Younger students made simple snacks like sandwiches and cupcakes, while older students prepared traditional dishes such as biryani, kheer, mutton curry, and naan. Highlights included traditional dances like the Bihu and folk dances, along with musical performances of Bollywood and traditional songs. The celebration also featured a school-wide picnic with traditional dishes like pulao, bharta, and fish curry, made from fresh local ingredients. The scenic campus provided the perfect backdrop for this gathering. Fun games, including tug-of-war, sack races, and football, added an element of joy, with both students and teachers participating enthusiastically.
