PAINTING CUM DRAWING COMPETITION 2025

On the eve of the 79th Independence Day of India, St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Pathaliaghat, organized a Massive Painting-cum-Drawing Competition on 14th August 2025 in the school assembly hall. The event was exclusively held for the students of Classes IV to VIII, with the theme “My India.” The competition began with the students assembling in the hall, where they were given brief instructions by the teachers before the start. Carrying their own materials, the young artists enthusiastically engaged themselves in drawing and painting. The theme provided them with the freedom to portray their patriotic feelings, and they expressed their love for the nation through vibrant sketches and colorful paintings. The students displayed remarkable creativity and imagination, producing a wide variety of drawings and paintings reflecting India’s freedom, cultural richness, and patriotic spirit. The atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm, joy, and a deep sense of pride in being Indian. The teachers closely supervised the competition, ensuring smooth conduct and providing encouragement to the participants. After the stipulated time, the works of art were collected and evaluated by a panel of teachers. Winners were selected class-wise, acknowledging the talent and effort of the young participants. At the conclusion of the event, Fr. Babu Stephen expressed his heartfelt appreciation to all the students for their active participation and thanked the teachers for their cooperation in making the programme a grand success. He also encouraged the students to continue nurturing their artistic talents and to always cherish the honour of the nation. The competition not only showcased the artistic talents of the students but also instilled in them a deeper sense of patriotism, unity, and love for the motherland.
