BIRTHDAY OF FR. BABU STEPHEN - PRINCIPAL
The 22nd of August 2025 was a day of great joy and festivity at St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Pathaliaghat, as the school community came together to celebrate the birthday of their beloved Principal, Fr. Babu Stephen. The celebration unfolded in different phases, marked with prayer, cultural programmes, and expressions of gratitude and affection. The day began with the Holy Eucharist in the Boys’ Hostel, presided over by Fr. Babu himself. After the Mass, a birthday cake was cut in the presence of the hostel boys who joyfully sang songs, offered a bouquet of flowers, and extended their heartfelt wishes to their Rector and Principal. At 9:00 am, the tiny tots of St. Xavier’s at Auxilium Convent presented a delightful programme in honour of Fr. Babu. The colourful dances by the students of Nursery, LKG, and UKG, coupled with the active participation of the sisters and staff, made the celebration vibrant and memorable. Parents too graced the occasion, adding warmth to the event. Gifts of love and appreciation were offered to Fr. Babu, who, in turn, expressed his sincere gratitude to the parents, teachers, and children for their affection and goodwill. At 9:45 am, the entire school community assembled for the grand celebration. The programme commenced with words of welcome by Fr. K. K. Joseph. This was followed by a series of colourful dances, melodious songs, instrumental performances, and heartfelt gift presentations from students and staff. The celebration reflected the deep love and admiration that the school family holds for their principal. In his address, Fr. Babu thanked everyone for their kind gestures, assuring them of his prayers and support. Later in the afternoon, the staff members gathered in the principal’s office to convey their wishes. A cake was cut and shared, after which Fr. Babu offered snacks and tea, creating a family-like atmosphere of joy and fellowship. The day’s celebration was indeed a fitting tribute to Fr. Babu Stephen, whose guidance, dedication, and leadership continue to inspire the students and staff of St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Pathaliaghat. The occasion will long be remembered as a day of love, unity, and gratitude.
