The visit of Sr. Rosa Pyngrope, the Provincial of the FMA Shillong Province, to St. Xavier's Higher Secondary School Pathaliaghat on 28th April 2026 was a memorable and grace-filled occasion for the entire school community. Sr. Rosa was accorded a warm and cordial welcome on her arrival at the school. Fr. Babu Stephen received her in the school office and introduced her to the members of the staff. During the interaction, Sr. Rosa addressed the teachers with a thought-provoking and inspiring message, encouraging them in their noble mission of education. Later, she was escorted by Sr. Rihun Sten to the school assembly hall, where the students and staff had gathered to welcome her. Once again, Fr. Babu Stephen, on behalf of the school, extended a heartfelt welcome to the distinguished guest. The children greeted her with a resounding round of applause. As a mark of respect and love, the students presented Sr. Rosa with the traditional Tripuri Risa, the school scarf, and a bouquet of flowers. Similar tokens of affection were also presented to Sr. Rihun Sten. Sr. Rosa expressed her joy and gratitude for the warm reception she received. Addressing the school assembly, Sr. Rosa shared a powerful message centered on the famous words of Socrates: “Know yourself.” She encouraged the students and staff to understand their strengths, values, and purpose in life, and to strive constantly for personal growth and excellence. At the end of the programme, Fr. Babu Stephen thanked Sr. Rosa for her gracious visit, for the valuable time she spent with the school community, and for her inspiring words. He wished her good health and a pleasant stay in Tripura.
