INTER-HOUSE GROUP DANCE COMPETITION 2026
The first Inter-House Competition of the academic year 2026–27, the Inter-House Group Dance Competition for Boys and Girls, was held with great enthusiasm and excitement at St. Xavier's School, Pathaliaghat, on 19th June 2026. A total of eight teams participated in the competition—four boys' teams and four girls' teams representing the four houses: Bosco, Nehru, Gandhi, and Theresa. The programme commenced with a warm welcome address by Fr. Babu, who extended his best wishes to all the participants and house captains for the competition. He also introduced the six judges to the audience. The event was compered efficiently by Master Kunal and Ms. Brevia, who kept the audience engaged throughout the programme. The participants presented spectacular and vibrant dance performances, showcasing remarkable talent, creativity, coordination, and dedication. Their fascinating choreography and attractive costumes added colour and gaiety to the event, making it a visual treat for everyone present. Each performance was truly breathtaking. The dancers captivated the audience and kept them spellbound with their energy, grace, and enthralling presentations. The competition reflected the hard work and commitment of the participants and their house leaders, who had prepared diligently for the occasion. At the conclusion of the event, the winners were announced by Fr. Babu. Fr. Thomas, the Vice-Principal, presented cash awards to the winning teams. Ms. Rini Kaipeng delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the management, judges, participants, coordinators, and audience for making the programme a grand success. The competition was coordinated by Ms. Tulsi, Ms. Mona, Mr. Pradesh, and Mr. Chiranjit. The school places on record its appreciation for the excellent performances put up by the dancers of all the houses and the dedicated efforts of their captains and mentors. The Inter-House Group Dance Competition proved to be an excellent beginning to the co-curricular activities of the academic year and highlighted the spirit of teamwork, creativity, and healthy competition among the students.
