The 2nd edition of the Don Bosco Football Tournament took place on October 20, 2024, bringing together young football enthusiasts for an exciting day of competition and sportsmanship. The event was hosted by St.Xavier School Pathaliaghat at the Don Bosco mini stadium ground. There were a total of 57 teams participating from various schools and clubs all over Tripura. The Tournament was graced with the presence of Fr. KK Joseph, the chief guest, Sr.Rihun Fma, guest of honors and in the presence of many spectators and football enthusiasts.

The tournament began with a prayer and a warm welcome from Fr. Babu Stephen,   who greeted all the teams, officials, and spectators. In his opening remarks, Fr. Babu Stephen highlighted the importance of sports in fostering unity and developing character among the youth. His words set the tone for an exciting day of matches, encouraging the players to display their best efforts on the field. The opening match was played between KALAM KHAI FC and Khumpilung FC.

Following the welcome, the event was officially inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Fr. K.K. Joseph, who spoke about the values of hard work and perseverance that sports can teach. The first day of the 2nd Don Bosco Football Tournament finally ended on a high note with Kalam Khai Fc defeating Khupilung Fc by 4 goals. Kudos to both the teams for their excellent performance and sportsmanship.
