The 30th Annual Day Celebration of St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Pathaliaghat was held with great pomp and grandeur on 30th January 2025 in the school premises. The occasion was graced by Mr. Atul Debbarma, the esteemed Founder of the school, as the Chief Guest. The event was attended by a distinguished gathering, including Fr. Suman, Fr. Remol, Fr. KK Joseph, Fr. Isaac, Fr. Juel, Sr. Mk onica, Sr. Martlin, Sr. Rihun, Sr. Peaceful, Sr. Banri, Sr. Sweety, Sr. Icy Mary, and Sr. Pdiang, whose presence added grace to the occasion. The grand celebration began with the escort of the Chief Guest and other dignitaries to the venue, setting the tone for the evening. The programme was beautifully compered by Master Bijoy and Ms. Jelina, who ensured the smooth flow of events. A soulful prayer dance by the Convent girls marked the beginning of the celebration, creating an atmosphere of reverence and joy. This was followed by an inspiring welcome address by the Principal, Fr. Babu, who expressed his gratitude to everyone for being part of this milestone event. The highlight of the evening was the series of vibrant dance performances by students from KG II to Class XII. The students showcased their talent through a variety of cultural dances representing different regions of India—South, North, East, and West. Their mesmerizing performances, complemented by colorful costumes, a beautifully decorated stage, and excellent sound and lighting arrangements, left the audience spellbound. Adding further charm to the event, the teachers presented a special dance performance, which was met with loud applause. The hostel boys also contributed with two melodious songs, which were highly appreciated. The audience, comprising parents, guardians, friends, and well-wishers of the school, enjoyed every moment of the grand spectacle. Special messages from Fr. KK Joseph and Chief Guest Mr. Atul Debbarma highlighted the importance of education and holistic development, making the occasion even more meaningful. The celebration concluded at 8:00 PM with a heartfelt vote of thanks proposed by Ms. Moni Jamatia. The school management expressed their gratitude to all the organizers, performers, and supporters for making the 30th Annual Day a resounding success. The event was a true testament to the hard work, dedication, and unity of the St. Xavier’s family, leaving behind cherished memories for all who attended.
