On 23rd May 2025 at 9:00 AM, St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Pathaliaghat marked a significant milestone in its journey of growth and service with the solemn blessing and laying of the foundation stone for its new extension block. The ceremony was graced by His Lordship Rt. Rev. Lumen Monteiro, CSC, the Bishop of Agartala, who led the blessing in the presence of a large gathering of students, teachers, parents, fathers, sisters, brothers, and well-wishers. The day began with a warm and respectful welcome accorded to Bishop Lumen upon his arrival at the school. He was then invited to address the staff and students during a special assembly held in the school’s assembly hall. In his address, the Bishop encouraged the school community to remain rooted in faith and committed to the holistic mission of education. Following the assembly, the blessing ceremony took place at the designated construction site. The programme began with a brief introduction and prayer led by Bishop Lumen. This sacred moment of blessing was marked by solemnity and reverence, as the school community gathered in unity and hope to invoke God's guidance and grace on the new venture. The event was deeply prayerful and meaningful, symbolizing not just the beginning of a new building, but the continuation of a mission rooted in love, service, and education. It was truly a day of blessings for the entire school community. The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Rev. Fr. Babu Stephen, who expressed deep gratitude to Bishop Lumen for his presence and blessing. He also thanked all those who came to witness and support this important occasion in the life of the school.
