St. Xavier's Higher Secondary School Pathaliaghat
His Lordship Rt. Rev. Lumen Monteiro, CSC, Bishop of Agartala, paid a pastoral visit to St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School and Hostel, Pathaliaghat, on 22nd and 23rd May 2025. His arrival was marked by a warm and heartfelt welcome in the evening of 22nd May by the hostel boys, accompanied by the Fathers and hostel wardens. The students extended their hospitality through songs and gestures of affection, expressing their joy and gratitude for the Bishop’s presence among them. On the morning of 23rd May, His Lordship presided over the Holy Eucharist, a solemn and spiritually enriching celebration for the school community. Following this, he visited Auxilium Convent Pathaliaghat, where he interacted with the tiny tots of the pre-primary section and addressed the Sisters, offering words of encouragement and blessing. At 9:00 AM, Bishop Monteiro was given a formal welcome at the school office by the Principal, staff, and students. A short felicitation programme was held in his honour during the school assembly. The staff and students greeted him with a bouquet of flowers and a traditional Tripuri Risa, symbolizing love, respect, and cultural pride. In his address, His Lordship appreciated the hard work and dedication of the school community, congratulated the staff and students for their commendable academic results, and expressed his happiness over the warm and vibrant welcome he received. He encouraged everyone to continue striving for excellence in both academics and values. Fr. Babu Stephen, Principal of St. Xavier’s, thanked Bishop Monteiro for his gracious visit and inspiring presence, assuring him of the continued prayers and support of the entire school community. The visit of His Lordship was a moment of great joy and spiritual renewal for all, strengthening the bond of faith and unity in the Bosconian family.
