The welcome programme for the newly admitted Class XI students of St. Xavier's Higher Secondary School, Pathaliaghat, was held on 2nd June 2025 in the school hall. The programme commenced at 9:00 a.m. with a solemn prayer and a graceful prayer dance, invoking blessings for the academic journey ahead. Fr. K.A. Thomas, the Vice-Principal, extended a heartfelt welcome to the students and guests with his warm words. The event was compered by the school captain, Master Bijoy Molsom of Class XII, who conducted the programme with poise and enthusiasm. The stage, artistically decorated by Bro. Agustin, added a festive and joyous atmosphere to the occasion. The Class XI students were given a warm and hearty welcome by the entire school community, making them feel at ease and a part of the Xavierian family. The programme was further enriched by a series of colourful and vibrant dances, along with melodious song performances by students of Classes VII to XII. These performances were not only entertaining but also showcased the talents of the students and the spirit of unity in the school. Fr. K.K. Joseph, the Rector, addressed the gathering with an inspiring message. He warmly welcomed the new students and encouraged them to feel at home, assuring them that their journey at St. Xavier’s would be joyful and enriching. He also appreciated the efforts of all those who contributed to the programme. The inaugural ceremony concluded on a positive and cheerful note. Following the cultural programme, the Class XI students attended a short yet meaningful orientation session designed to introduce them to the school’s ethos, rules, and expectations. The entire event was a memorable one, setting the tone for a new beginning in the lives of the Class XI students at St. Xavier’s.
