St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Pathaliaghat, organized a heartfelt farewell programme on 9th June 2025 in the school hall to bid adieu to Bro. Agustin Pariong and Bro. Bankitlang Lyngkhoi, who had rendered a year of dedicated and inspiring service to the institution. The programme commenced with a solemn prayer led by Ms. Nimi Jamatia, invoking God’s blessings for the occasion. This was followed by a warm welcome address by the Principal, Rev. Fr. Babu Stephen, who expressed gratitude to the brothers for their tireless commitment in teaching and mentoring the students throughout the academic year. The school community, comprising students and staff, came together to express their love, gratitude, and appreciation for the brothers through soulful songs and a series of vibrant cultural performances. The students from Classes 5 to 12 showcased a variety of dances reflecting the cultural richness and joyful spirit of the school. The occasion was further enriched by touching messages from Fr. Babu Stephen and Fr. K.K. Joseph, who highlighted the brothers’ selfless contribution and their role in shaping the young minds of the institution. Their words brought joy and inspiration to all present. Both Bro. Agustin and Bro. Bankit also took the stage to express their heartfelt gratitude to the school community. They sincerely thanked the management, staff, and students for the affection and respect they received and appreciated the Principal for organizing such a meaningful and grand farewell. In a warm and intimate moment, the teachers gathered in the Principal’s office to personally bid farewell to the brothers. Gifts were presented as tokens of love and appreciation, acknowledging their valuable presence in the school. The staff shared in light refreshments and snacks as a sign of fellowship and farewell. The entire programme was coordinated by the school captains, who ensured the smooth flow of events with great enthusiasm and professionalism. The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Mast. Bijoy Molsom, the school captain, bringing the ceremony to a memorable close. The farewell was a touching tribute to the brothers, marking not just the end of their tenure, but the lasting bond they created with the Bosconian family.
