St. Xavier's Higher Secondary School Pathaliaghat
St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Pathaliaghat marked a proud moment in its history by participating in the prestigious North Eastern Region (NER) NCC RDC Band Competition held at Digboi College, Assam on 23rd July 2025. Representing the Silchar Group (13 Tripura Battalion NCC), a contingent of 45 students comprising both boys and girls from the school took part in this highly competitive event. This year’s competition was particularly historic, as it was the first time a team from Tripura participated in this elite NCC Band Competition. A total of seven teams from across the North Eastern Region showcased their talent and discipline during the event. Each team performed a 7-minute drill that included quick and slow march, drum solos, synchronization routines, and performances of stirring patriotic tunes that resonated with the spirit of the NCC. The performance of St. Xavier’s Band Team stood out for its precision, coordination, and musical excellence, earning a remarkable score of 85.6, thus securing the Third Prize among all participating teams. The panel of judges consisted of five Army officers and four Associate NCC Officers (ANOs) who evaluated the teams on multiple parameters including musicality, discipline, and drill synchronization. This outstanding achievement is a testament to the dedication and discipline of our students, the tireless efforts of our teachers, and the exceptional leadership of our NCC Caretaker Officer (CTO), who ensured that the team was well-trained and cared for throughout the journey. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all those who contributed to this remarkable success and brought laurels to the school and the state of Tripura on such a prestigious platform.
