St. Xavier's Higher Secondary School Pathaliaghat
The birthday of Bro. Savio Kurbah SDB was joyfully celebrated on 26th August 2025 at St. Xavier’s School and Hostel, Pathaliaghat. The celebration began with the Holy Eucharist presided over by Fr. K.K. Joseph SDB and concelebrated by Fr. Babu Stephen SDB. During the Mass, the entire community prayed for Bro. Savio, thanking God for the gift of his life and service. After the Eucharistic celebration, the community members gathered around Bro. Savio to convey their warm wishes. They sang birthday songs, offered him Risa and a bouquet of flowers as tokens of love and respect, and joined him in cutting the birthday cake, which added joy to the occasion. The celebration continued in the school assembly, where Fr. Babu Stephen, Principal of the school, welcomed Bro. Savio to the dais and extended birthday greetings on behalf of the entire school community. The students and staff expressed their joy with a thunderous applause and once again presented him with the school scarf, Risa, and a bouquet of flowers. Bro. Savio, in his short address, thanked everyone for their prayers, wishes, and gestures of affection. He also distributed prizes to the winners of the Drawing and Painting Competition held on 14th August 2025 as part of the Independence Day celebrations. His words of gratitude and encouragement inspired the students and staff alike. Finally, Fr. Babu Stephen expressed appreciation for Bro. Savio’s dedicated service in both the school and hostel. He highlighted the simplicity, commitment, and valuable contributions of Bro. Savio in accompanying the students and supporting the community. The celebration, though simple, was deeply meaningful and filled with love and gratitude, making it a memorable day for everyone at St. Xavier’s.
