On 13th September 2025, forty students of St. Xavier’s School, Pathaliaghat had the privilege of attending a distinguished Lecture Session at Dashrath Bhavan, Agartala. The programme was organized by Fr. P.J. Joseph SDB and his dedicated team from the Peace Centre, Agartala, under the umbrella of Aitorma. This marked the third lecture in the ongoing series. The session was centered on the Maharaja Bir Bikram Memorial. The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Biswaranjan Tripura, Assistant Professor at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, on the theme: “Revisiting Indigenous Peoples’ Questions in Tripura: Towards Inclusive Policy.” Adding depth to the discussion, the response paper was presented by Mr. Thomas Malsom, Research Scholar, North Eastern Hill University (NEHU). The lecture drew the participation of hundreds of distinguished guests, college and school students, and invitees, making it a highly scholarly, informative, and educative event. For the students of St. Xavier’s School, this was truly a golden opportunity. They gained valuable insights into the life and contribution of Maharaja Bir Bikram towards the development and upliftment of Tripura. Many students actively engaged in the interactive session by raising pertinent questions, which enriched their learning experience.
