The 77th Republic Day of India was celebrated with great patriotic fervour and enthusiasm at Bishramganj on 26th January 2026. The programme witnessed the gracious presence of Shri Animesh Debbarma as the Chief Guest. The occasion was further dignified by the presence of the District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police of Sepahijala District, along with a galaxy of other distinguished VIPs, officials, and invitees. The celebration began with the hoisting of the National Flag followed by a solemn parade. Various school contingents participated in the march past, showcasing discipline, unity, and patriotic spirit. St. Xavier’s School, Pathaliaghat, participated with both boys’ and girls’ contingents. The girls’ contingent delivered an outstanding performance marked by precision, coordination, and confidence. Their exemplary march past earned them the First Prize, bringing great laurels and glory to the school through their hard work and dedication. In the march past competition, Don Bosco School, Bishramganj secured the Second and Third Prizes respectively. Prizes were distributed by the Chief Guest, Shri Animesh Debbarma, who congratulated all the participants and appreciated the efforts of students and teachers in fostering patriotism and discipline among the youth. The cultural segment added colour and vibrancy to the celebration. In the patriotic dance competition, Don Bosco School, Bishramganj, once again emerged as the First Prize winners, enthralling the audience with their spirited and meaningful performance. The entire celebration was marked by a strong sense of national pride, unity, and joy. It was truly a wonderful and memorable event.
