St. Xavier's Higher Secondary School Pathaliaghat
The Home Science Practical Examination for Class XI students of St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Pathaliaghat was successfully conducted from 22nd to 27th January 2026. The examination was conducted by Sir Haripada Pal and was carried out in a well-planned and systematic manner. For the smooth conduct of the examination, the students were divided into four groups, and separate days were allotted to each group. This arrangement ensured proper organization, effective supervision, and adequate time for every student to demonstrate their practical skills. The students themselves took responsibility for collecting money and procuring the required ingredients for cooking, which encouraged responsibility and planning skills. The school provided the cooking gas and space, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for the practical work. Both boys and girls worked together enthusiastically, preparing a variety of delicious, tasty, and wholesome dishes that reflected their creativity, originality, and uniqueness. The dishes prepared were not only appealing but also demonstrated the practical application of the concepts learned in the classroom. After preparation, the meals were shared among the students, creating a spirit of joy, cooperation, and mutual appreciation. The entire examination was well monitored and supervised by the teachers, ensuring discipline, hygiene, and adherence to safety measures. The practical exam was conducted with the objective of preparing students to survive in any given situation, develop essential cooking skills, work as a team, enhance creativity, develop an interest in cooking, and put theoretical knowledge into practical use. Different groups presented a wide variety of dishes, and the students thoroughly enjoyed both the learning experience and the sharing of food. The practical examination proved to be an enriching and memorable learning experience for all. The school extends its sincere thanks to Sir Haripada Pal, the teachers, and the students for their dedication and cooperation, which helped in conducting the examination smoothly and successfully.
