Felicitation of the Football Champions at St. Xavier’s School, Pathaliaghat Pathaliaghat, 10 August 2026: St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Pathaliaghat, witnessed a proud and memorable moment during the morning assembly on 10 August 2026 as the school football team was felicitated for their outstanding achievement in the Don Bosco Inter-School Football and Volleyball Knockout Tournament, organized by Don Bosco School, Agartala. The St. Xavier’s football team brought immense pride and glory to the school by emerging as the Champions of the tournament. Displaying remarkable skill, determination, teamwork and sportsmanship, the team defeated Don Bosco School, Naba-Sardar, in the final and lifted the coveted Champions’ Trophy. Their splendid performance and well-deserved victory were a source of great joy and inspiration for the entire school community. During the morning assembly, Fr. Babu Stephen, Principal, warmly welcomed each member of the victorious team to the stage amidst a resounding round of applause and enthusiastic cheers from the students and teachers. He congratulated the players for their commendable performance and thanked them for their dedication, discipline and commitment. He also expressed his appreciation to the coaches, Mr. Animesh Debbarma and Mr. Dosorot Kaipeng, for their tireless efforts, guidance and encouragement in preparing the team for the tournament. The Rector felicitated the victorious players by presenting each of them with the school scarf. The players were also honoured with medals, while the Champions’ Trophy was presented to the team in recognition of their remarkable achievement. The felicitation ceremony was filled with excitement, pride and joy as the entire school community celebrated the success of its young footballers.
