St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Pathaliaghat, proudly participated in the 80th Independence Day celebration and March Past Parade held at Bishramganj Ground on 15th August 2026. The grand district-level celebration was graced by Shri Bikash Debbarma, Hon’ble Minister for Tribal Welfare, Government of Tripura, as the Chief Guest, along with other distinguished dignitaries. Thousands of enthusiastic spectators gathered at the venue to witness the colourful and patriotic celebration. St. Xavier’s School presented two contingents, comprising boys and girls, in the March Past competition. Both contingents demonstrated exceptional discipline, coordination, confidence, smart turnout and patriotic spirit. Their impressive performance reflected the students’ dedication and the rigorous training they had undergone in preparation for the event. The school achieved a remarkable double victory in the March Past competition. The Girls’ Contingent won the coveted First Prize, while the Boys’ Contingent secured the Second Prize. The prizes were presented by Shri Bikash Debbarma, Hon’ble Minister for Tribal Welfare, amidst loud applause and appreciation. The outstanding achievement brought immense pride and glory to the entire St. Xavier’s School community. This success was made possible through the dedicated preparation, regular practice and committed guidance of the teachers. Special appreciation goes to Mr. Shanti Debbarma, Mr. Dinesh Debbarma and Ms. Priyanka Debbarma, along with the other teachers who accompanied the students and supervised their daily practices. Their patience, sacrifice and tireless efforts played a vital role in preparing the students for the competition. The school extends its heartfelt congratulations to both the Girls’ and Boys’ Contingents for their outstanding achievement. Their success is a true reflection of discipline, teamwork, perseverance and patriotic spirit. The 80th Independence Day celebration at Bishramganj Ground was a grand and memorable occasion that beautifully reflected the spirit of freedom, unity and patriotism.
